"Exceptional service for an exceptional community."  That''s the mission statement for the City of Fort Collins'' organizations.  The Fort Collins Senior Center takes that mission seriously.  The leadership staff of the Senior Center participated in an educational session as part of their plan for having all of their employees become more dementia-aware and friendly to their patrons who are living with dementia and utilizing the Senior Center to stay engaged in their community.  It''s all about showing excellent customer service with a little added compassion and awareness. Congratulations to the Fort Collins Senior Center for being the first public facility in Northern Colorado to seek and obtain designation as a dementia-friendly business.
